ABOUT Desert Moon Emporium

Marie Crowder joined by her sister, Syliva Willenberger, began making candle and wax melt products during the summer of 2020. Sylvia and her husband Sven, (Desert Moon’s connoisseur coffee roaster)  moved to El Paso during the Covid pandemic to be close to family.  Spending most of their adult lives apart, Sylvia and Marie rekindled their sisterly bond during the pandemic by experimenting, learning and perfecting the art of candle making.  By the fall of 2021, Sven with bags of fresh roasted specialty coffee and Sylvia and Marie with their custom-scented moon-themed candles and wax melts  were ready to test the popup markets. ADC became their favorite market and they have been regulars ever since.  Marie and Sylvia offer a unique candle and wax product workshop by providing attendees with a hands-on start to finish learning approach where they share valuable information, tips, and techniques with participants (things they had to learn the hard way on their own). In 2022 Sven’s successful premium coffee sales provided the trio with the opportunity to open their own coffee shop and artisan gift shop located at 4400 N. Mesa, Suite 2, just off the Executive Center exit.
