FOH Restaurant manager

The Front-of-House (FOH) Restaurant Manager is responsible for managing the ADC Restaurant towards the attainment of agreed upon Company goals, while working within the framework of ADC Philosophy, Mission Statement, and Company Policies and Procedures. Ideal candidate will possess at least 3 years restaurant management experience, preferably in a fine dining establishment.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Manage all facets to ensure successful operation of the Restaurant

  • Prove a high level of leadership to the Restaurant and the employees

  • Maintain a safe work environment and immediately report any accidents, completing the required forms and notifying ADC management

  • Oversee all aspects in generating sales and profit growth efficiently and effectively meeting or exceeding established goals

  • Meet weekly with the ADC Management Team/Executive Chef to review previous weeks’ sales, product mixes and specials.  Discuss staffing issues and solutions

  • Operate in accordance with Federal, State, and local laws with respect to safety and sanitation and alcohol sales

Specific Requirements

  • Effective communication skills

  • Knowledge of SpotOn POS System (helpful but not required)

  • Obtain and maintain a current New Mexico Alcohol Server Permit and NM Food Handlers Certification

  • Have a good knowledge of wine

  • Maintain a friendly, professional floor supervision that attracts repeat clientele through great communication skills

  • Hire, train, motivate and then maintain the highest levels service possible

  • Manage inventory of front of house supplies

Specific Job Duties

  • Ensure completion of FOH Opening and Closing Checklists

  • Ensure FOH staff are dressed appropriately for their positions

  • Continuous review of Labor Reports to ensure specific labor goals are maintained throughout the Restaurant

  • Hold FOH staff meetings prior to Restaurant operations, to include incentive programs

  • After Restaurant operations, perform End of Shift check-out for all wait staff, bartenders, and PM bar ensuring totals to cash and credit card tip amounts match to “close-out” print out

  • Maintain a spotless and well-kept facility through the efforts of others

  • Oversee the maintenance and organization of bar, wait stations and hostess stands

  • Oversee the maintenance and organization of liquor stock rooms including wine room

  • Perform daily accounting before and after restaurant operations to include tip shares, bank drawers and deposits
