Manny Flores Quartet is a warm, professional jazz ensemble deeply rooted in the vibrant musical heritage of El Paso. Led by El Paso–born bassist Manny Flores Jr., the group blends classic jazz tradition with lively Latin flavor. Drawing on decades of experience, their style reflects Manny’s favorite jazz legends (he cites Charles Mingus and Eric Dolphy among his inspirations) as well as the Brazilian rhythms he mastered during studies in Rio de Janeiro. Featuring Claudia Casillas’s inviting, soulful vocals, the quartet’s repertoire spans swinging jazz standards, bossa nova and other Latin-infused grooves delivered with polished enthusiasm. The result is an engaging, inviting sound – equally appealing to longtime jazz aficionados and new listeners.
