2025 Fall Under the Stars Music Series Artist

Candice Reyes is an acclaimed Hispanic jazz vocalist, recording artist, and arts advocate originally from El Paso, Texas. After spending a decade on the East Coast performing and working in New York City’s vibrant jazz scene, she has returned to El Paso, where she remains deeply engaged in the local arts and music community. She has released two solo albums—Crossing Over and her most recent, Your Way—featuring original compositions and collaborations with world-renowned artists, including nine-time GRAMMY Award-winning bassist Christian McBride and trumpeter Nathan Eklund. Reyes is the co-founder and Executive Director of The Jazz Exchange, a nonprofit dedicated to building community through jazz performance and music education in El Paso. Her experience spans both the stage and arts administration, having worked with organizations such as Jazz House Kids and the Harlem School of the Arts in New York City. Passionate about empowering youth and celebrating culture, Reyes continues to use her voice to uplift, educate, and connect communities through music.
