Hot Summer Chile Festival - Salsa Challenge

Can you make the heat? Take on the challenge and make your best salsa.

Each entry should be prepared fresh in advance

  • Contestants should bring decorations for their table and prepare to show a full recipe to public, to avoid allergic reactions.

  • Contestants must be present during competition hours and provide chips for

    public tasting.

  • All contestants must bring their salsa to assigned table position by 9:00am. We will start the tasting by 9:30am. Please keep your salsa safely cooled prior to and during competition. (cooler, Ice bath, etc.)

  • Official judging will be done by a panel. Prizes will be awarded to “Best in Show” in each category. (Hot, Mild, Fruity)

  • “People’s Choice Award” will be determined by public tasting. Most Festive Award will be determined by market staff and vendors.

  • Awards will be presented at 11:30 AM ~ Best of Luck to All!
