Red Hot Summer Chile Festival and Salsa Challenge

  • Salsa Challenge is open to both amateurs and professionals.
  • All salsas must be homemade and may be either canned or fresh.
  • All safe food handling and canning processes must be followed.
  • Entry fee is $5 per salsa entered. Instructions on how to submit payment will follow after you submit the form below.
  • Limit TWO salsa entries per family/person/shop.
  • Contestants must supply a minimum of ONE pint of salsa.
  • Salsa entries will be assigned numbers (for judging purposes) upon sign-in on the day of the challenge.
  • Entries need to be delivered between 8 and 9 a.m. on the morning of the challenge, Sept. 23.
  • Salsas will be judged on appearance, taste and texture.
  • Judging will begin at 10 a.m. and winners will be announced at 11:30 a.m.
