Shaun Mahoney Trio
Led by guitarist and UTEP faculty member Shaun Mahoney, the Shaun Mahoney Trio blends dynamic improvisation with modern jazz influences. Mahoney, who holds a Master’s in Jazz Studies from the University of the Arts in Philadelphia, brings years of experience from the vibrant New York/New Jersey jazz scene—having performed with artists like Radam Schwartz and Seleno Clarke.

Joining him are Christian Chesanek on bass and Chris Oliver on trumpet, two versatile musicians whose artistry enhances the trio’s forward-thinking sound. With deep roots in jazz and commercial music, the Shaun Mahoney Trio delivers a compelling and sophisticated performance that honors tradition while pushing boundaries.
